Pricing, in plain English

Two lanes, plus one for organizations.

Most pricing pages confuse the people they're trying to help. We tried to write one that doesn't.

A website needs two things, like a small business does. A storefront — and a sign on the door.

The storefront is hosting — that's where your site lives. Lanlan handles that. The sign on the door is your dot-com, like your-business.com. Most cost about ten dollars a year. Bring one you already own, or buy one through us when you're ready. Either way, it's yours, in your name.

Pricing is custom — we'll talk about what your organization needs and quote from there.

A few notes.

Most website builders charge per site, and lock the useful things — payments, dynamic content, custom forms — behind upgraded plans. We don't. One price gets you the whole tool. Your site exports as plain files anytime — you can leave with everything you made. We don't run ads on your site, ever.

Same goes for your dot-com — bring one you already own from Namecheap, Porkbun, or GoDaddy at no extra charge. Or buy through us with a small markup — that covers the connection work. No surprise renewals either way. If you're a non-profit, send a note.

Pricing questions

The things people ask us first.

Q.01What does it actually cost?

Free site: $0. Dot-com: ~$10/year. Make it mine: $15/month. Most people start free and stay free for a while. No hidden fees, no ads, no transaction fees on top of Stripe.

Q.02Do you mark up the domain price?

A little — it covers the connection work. If you'd rather skip it, buy your dot-com elsewhere (Namecheap, Porkbun, GoDaddy are all fine) and connect it at no extra charge. Buying through us is just easier because you don't have to copy-paste finicky DNS codes.

Q.03Do I need a credit card to start?

No. The free site needs no card. You only need to pay when you want a dot-com or Make it mine.

Q.04What if I just want the free version?

Go for it. It's a real site — fast, secure, on a global network. The only difference from a paid site is the address (yourbiz.lanlan.site instead of yourbiz.com) and the small Lanlan badge. Plenty of businesses are perfectly happy with that.

Q.05Can I cancel?

Yes, one click, no walls. Your free site keeps working when you cancel — you just lose the paid features. You can also export your whole site as files and take it anywhere. We don't hold anything hostage.

Ready when you are.
